Fresh Fruits and Berries

New Hampshire’s orchards and fields burst with seasonal fruits and berries, many available for pick-your-own adventures or at farm stands.

Berries: Strawberries (mid-June to early July), blueberries (July to August), and raspberries are available at farms like Apple Hill Farm in Concord or Beaver Pond Farm in Newport. Pick your own or grab pre-picked berries at farm stands.

Vegetables and Greens

Meat and Poultry

New Hampshire farms raise high-quality, pasture-based meat, often available frozen at farm stores or fresh by pre-order. In addition to the usual suspects (beef, pork, and chicken), an array of more exotic meats are available, raised locally and humanely. Learn more…

Dairy and Cheese

New Hampshire has close to a hundred dairy farms, some of which sell directly to the public. They produce rich milk, cheeses, and other products, often crafted with traditional methods. Learn more…

Seafood

OK, we admit it…  New Hampshire has the shortest coastline of any U.S. coastal state, measuring only 18.57 miles long. But hardy fishermen are still putting it to good use! Fresh, local seafood is accessible through The Daily Haul, offering fish, lobster (year-round, best in warmer months), and several other types of shellfish. Pickup locations are available across southern New Hampshire. Emery Farm in Durham stocks their farm store with fresh Fox Point Oysters, restocked every Thursday and throughout the week.

Maple Syrup and Honey

New Hampshire is one of the top five maple syrup producing states! Farms including Harding Hill Farm in Sunapee and the Kearsarge Gore Farm in Warner produce their own pure maple syrup. There are also dozens of dedicated sugar houses producing maple products like candies and sugar. Visit the New Hampshire Maple Producers Association “Find a Sugarhouse” app page for information on LOTS of New Hampshire sugar houses. Be sure to mark the annual Maple Weekend on your calendar; it’s the sweetest, stickiest time of the year!

Local honey is readily available at many farmstands. Many farms that don’t keep bees themselves stock honey from local beekeepers.

Specialty Products

For a unique and soothing experience, try strolling through the lavender fields at Pumpkin Blossom Farm. They sell a variety of products made from their own lavendar plants.
