Yesterday I was thrilled to make it out to Lee for the annual Coppal House Farm Sunflower Festival. It’s a bit of a trek from New Hampshire Farms HQ in Cheshire County. The $12 price of admission gives you access to explore their magnificent fields of sunflowers. They use them to produce the cold-pressed sunflower oil that’s available for sale in their farm store. The sunflowers are swarming with fat, fuzzy bumblebees. They also have a variety garden with a stunning array of flowers. You can admire some of their sheep and adorable lambs (but please don’t touch; this is a real working farm).
My partner and I were there very late in the afternoon on a weekday, and unfortunately all of the food trucks and the beer garden had closed down for the day. But we didn’t mind, because we already had dinner plans at the popular Tuckaway Tavern and Butchery in nearby Raymond. I had a ribeye that was out of this world!
If you like flowers, or just want an excuse to pick up some pasture-raised lamb in their farm store, I highly recommend attending this wonderful event!
